The Association, through its commitment to improving the resources available for members, has been reaching out to contributors throughout the industry to assist with articles geared towards this effort. NAMFS newest Affiliate member, Claims Recovery Financial Services (CRFS), is a leading provider of claims processing management solutions. CRFS processes Post-Foreclosure FHA, VA, MI, and Investor Claims, provides loss analysis review, consulting and on-site training for lenders, mortgage service companies and other
financial institutions throughout the U.S. Their unique viewpoint provides the Association with a valuable opportunity to both gain and provide its members with insight into another side of the industry which has previously unrepresented within NAMFS.
NAMFS recently sought the feedback of CRFS regarding common claims issues and the opportunities available to avoid them when completing pre-sale services. CRFS graciously supplied the following article, “What Impact Does PreSale Property Preservation Have on the HUD Claims Process”. In addition to providing some helpful best practice recommendations, the article may shed light on some of the reasons behind Servicer and Field Service Company requirements for service. This article is broken down into several sections, including:
- Work Orders
- Photographs
- Damages
- Multiple Units
- Borrower Contact on Tenant Occupied Properties
- ICC Notification
- Conveyance Extensions
