Moderated by Adam Miles, the State of the Industry session included updates regarding the evolution of requirements for investors and insurers, and the increasing impact from changes to legislature and ordinances at the state and local level. These changes to the preservation landscape have resulted in modifications to industry strategies established by servicers, property preservation companies, and vendors in the field. Topics that were addressed included legislative pressures, the importance of clarity in work order instructions, moving repair work forward in the preservation life cycle, and the priority of placing properties into conveyance condition sooner.
