NAMFS February 2021 Newsletter

Forbearance & Moratorium Update
As the new administration continues to evaluate the impacts of the pandemic, an announcement was made on February 16, 2021 that the Forbearance and Moratorium expiration dates that were to expire on March 31, 2021 have been extended by an additional 3 months.  The current date of expiration now moves to June 30, 2021.  These extensions concern federally backed mortgages. There are also many state specific guidelines.
NAMFS looks to provide our members with the most current information and typically we post on our social media accounts and announcement feature on the NAMFS website homepage.  We also encourage our members to review the following link which contains state specific information – COVID-19 Related Eviction and Foreclosure Orders/Guidance 50-State Tracker | Perkins Coie
